In 1987, my mom embarked on a groundbreaking journey with First Lady Nails, a trailblazing nail salon nestled in the heart of the San Gabriel Valley. Those early years were filled with triumphs, but as competition grew fiercer, challenges began to surface. Then, in 2015, my mom suggested that Kimi and I take over the struggling salon. After careful consideration and drawing on our own unique strengths, we breathed new life into it, reimagining it as BeautyBar SGV, as a tribute to my mom's legacy in the San Gabriel Valley.
Today, BeautyBar stands as a testament to our dedication, known for its top-notch services and the deep connections we foster with our clients and staff alike. Despite enduring an arduous 11-month closure during the pandemic, our resilience, buoyed by the steadfast support of our loyal community and team, saw us through. BeautyBar embodies a profound personal journey for both Kimi and me, and we remain steadfast in our commitment to providing an unmatched salon experience for our beloved community.
